GIRLS' GOLF PROGRAM
MWGA LPGA USGA GIRL’S GOLF PROGRAM
MWGA is again sponsoring our Girls Golf Program. The program, which started in 2007, provides girls ages 7 to 17 with the opportunity to learn to play golf, build lasting friendships, and experience competition in a fun, supportive, and junior-friendly atmosphere, while teaching them values inherent to the game. Juniors not only learn to play the game of golf, but they also discover life skills that inspire them to feel confident, build positive self-esteem and live active and healthy lifestyles.
During the season we try to include group trip to attend one of the women’s tour events each year. This is an inspirational opportunity for our juniors to see professional women golfers in action. At the conclusion of the program MWGA hosts a 9-hole Junior/Mentor scramble followed by an awards ceremony.
