PLAYER CONFIRMATION LETTER

This confirms the entry of those listed below into the MWGA Best 2 of 4 at Sugarbush Golf Course in Davison on Saturday, July 12, 2008.

 

Please see the bottom of this page for maps, and tentative pairings. There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. 

 

Please verify the accuracy of the index we have listed for you.  We are using indexes downloaded and printed from the GAM website on 7/06/08 or from the last posting period for non-GAM member clubs or as verified by the MWGA Handicap Chair.  We are still in the process of reviewing these indexes.

 

Format:

9:00 AM Shot Gun Start  Best Ball - must be at carts by 8:45

Each player plays her own ball. Once it is clear that your score will not be one of the two best balls used for that hole, you should pick up and enter the score that you feel you would have most likely scored, followed by an “x”.  Each player MUST have a score recorded on each hole, even though you do not finish the hole.

Forward Tees: Yards - 5087, Course Rating – 71.1, Slope Rating - 127

1 Team flight for for net and gross prizes
2 team flights for skins based on team handicap
2 Individual flights; tentative - (A - index 19.1 and below; B - 19.2 and above)

Please review the policies and guidelines for MWGA competitions.  Make special note of this year’s Revised Pace of Play Policy.   All groups are expected to return their scorecards within 4 hours and 50 minutes.  Groups exceeding this time may be found in violation of the policy and subject to a minimum  2-stroke penalty.  Please read and familiarize yourself with all policies and guidelines before you play an MWGA event.  It is your responsibility to know and adhere to these policies: => MWGA Policies and Guidelines

 - Spikeless/non-metal spike golf shoes only.  
 - Cell phones must be on inaudible alert and must not be used in any manner that could possibly be distracting to other players.  
 - Proper golf attire is required. Sleeveless shirts must have collars. Collarless shirts must have sleeves. No denim.

Final Roster, Pairings, Handicaps and Flights

Indexes are as of the 7/06/08 GAM download or as determined by the MWGA Handicap Chair. Any player that has played, but has not posted scores for the previous two-posting periods (5/26/08 – 6/22/08) does not have a current index. Any player playing with an index higher than what she/he is entitled to is subject to disqualification.  Players without a current index are subject to play at 85% of the index on record.  Indexes that are subject to being adjusted are followed by an "M" .
